Interim Associate Provost for Extended Campus
Lisa L. Templeton currently serves as the Interim Associate Provost for the Division of Extended Campus at Oregon State University. She has also served as Executive Director of Oregon State University Extended Campus since 2008. In these roles, she provides strategic leadership and oversight for units whose collective mission is to provide adult learners in Oregon and around the world with access to an OSU high-quality education. The Division of Extended Campus encompasses Professional and Continuing Education, OSU Ecampus, OSU Summer Session, Open Oregon State, and the OSU Ecampus Research Unit. Under her leadership, Ecampus has built a reputation as one of the nation’s best providers of online education, delivering more than 1,000 courses and 50 degree programs to distance learners in all 50 states and more than 40 countries.
Templeton has been with OSU Extended Campus since 2000. She has served on the leadership team for the Division of Outreach and Engagement, and was Co-Chair in leading the development of the University Outreach and Engagement Strategic Plan. She is active nationally in the field of online and continuing education, and is currently serving on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for the University Professional and Continuing Education Association (UPCEA).
She received her bachelor’s degree from the Ohio State University, Ed.M in Adult Education from Oregon State University, and a certificate from the Institute for Leadership in Online Leadership from Penn State University.
