Noah Buckley appointed interim associate vice provost for enrollment management

22 May 2018

To the Oregon State community,

I am pleased to announce that Noah Buckley has agreed to serve as interim associate provost for enrollment management effective 18 June 2018. Noah succeeds Kate Peterson, who retired in 2017 but has continued to serve as associate provost for enrollment management on a part-time basis until her full retirement in June.

In the role of interim associate provost role, Noah will report to me and will be a member of the Provost’s Senior Leadership Team and the Provost’s Executive Committee. It is expected that Noah will serve in the interim associate provost role until a vice provost for enrollment management has been named. A national search for this position is underway, and is chaired by Toni Doolen, dean of the College of Education and the University Honors College. Nominations are encouraged and may be sent to Gigi Bruce, special assistant to the provost.

Noah has served as director of admissions at Oregon State since 2011. During his tenure, he has worked with campus partners to grow significantly the number of Oregon high achieving students enrolled at OSU; has adopted a holistic admissions selection process to provide greater educational access for prospective students; and has worked to increase on-campus non-resident freshmen enrollments – a total that has grown by 32 percent since 2011.

Please join me in welcoming Noah to his new role, and congratulating Kate on her service to the university and retirement.

Sincerely,

Edward Feser
Provost and Executive Vice President
