Kirk Schueler

Kirk Schueler is President of Schueler Consulting Services, LLC. Prior to that role, he served as chief administrative officer and executive vice president for the St. Charles Health System in Bend, Oregon, beginning in 2011. From 2000 to 2011, he was president of Brooks Resources Corporation, a real estate development firm in Bend. While there, he led the company’s efforts in planning and implementing various real estate projects including IronHorse in Prineville, Yarrow in Madras, and Awbrey Park and North Rim in Bend. From 1996 to 2000, Mr. Schueler served as chief financial officer of Brooks Resources, and, from 1993 to 1996, as corporate controller. From 1987 to 1993, Mr. Schueler was an audit manager with KPMG Peat Marwick in Portland and in San José, California.

Mr. Schueler was appointed to the State Board of Higher Education in 2009, his term expired in 2014. In addition, he currently serves on the boards of Brooks Resources Corporation, the Bend Foundation, Mt. Bachelor Sports Education Foundation, and Economic Development for Central Oregon.

Previously, Mr. Schueler served as president of Building a Better Bend, Inc. (2003-2010); a member of the Jeld-Wen Tradition Foundation (2007-2010), where he served as chairman of the Finance Committee; chairman (2000-2005) and board member (1999-2005) of the City of Bend Budget Committee; and president (1999-2000) and board member (1996-2001) of Economic Development for Central Oregon.

Mr. Schueler received his B.S. in renewable natural resources-forestry from the University of Nevada-Reno and his B.A. in accounting from the University of Oregon.

Mr. Schueler and his wife Rochelle have three children.
