Mark Baldwin has had a long and successful career in information systems and technology in higher education and the private sector. He has worked since 2006 as an analyst and programmer at Oregon State University, working in areas that serve OSU’s international student affairs, academic programs and human resources.
Prior to joining OSU, he worked at Western Oregon University and also at a number of private sector firms that served clients as wide ranging as NATO, the state of Oregon and national leading software companies. Mr. Baldwin has served as a trade delegate for the Commerce Department with the Foundation for Russian American Economic Cooperation and as a board member and interpreter for the Eugene-Irkutsk Sister City Committee.
Mr. Baldwin has a bachelor’s degree in government from Pomona College, Claremont, California (1986), and a master’s degree in Russian languages and literature from the University of Oregon (1991).
While at Oregon State and Western Oregon, he has been honored for his work with students in student affairs and athletics. At OSU, he served as faculty adviser to the Women’s Rugby Club from 2009 to 2011 and as head coach of the team from 2004 to 2009. He is currently the head coach of the Western Oregon Women’s Rugby Club.
