The OSU Board of Trustees invites members of the university, stakeholders and broader community to a virtual forum with the final recommended nominee for interim president.

Please visit here for the Chair's announcement of Dr. Becky Johnson as the final recommended nominee. Dr. Johnson will provide remarks and respond to questions from participants.

The virtual forum will be held Wednesday, April 14 from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m.

University community members may participate in the forum at this link. Please note that OSU community members must login to Zoom with ONID credentials before entering the meeting. For those hoping to ask questions of the nominee, you will be asked to use the hand raise feature. To ensure you have that capability, it is recommended that you are using the latest version of the Zoom client by visiting this site. If you are unable to use the hand raise feature, please submit your questions for the nominee during the forum to trustees@oregonstate.edu

Please provide your feedback on the nominee in the form below by 5:00 p.m. on April 15. Your feedback will be shared with the OSU Board of Trustees in advance of the Board meeting on April 16 to consider the interim president appointment.

Based on input from the university community, the Board has identified the following position requirements and experience needed in the interim president:

  • Ability to build trust and confidence with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated commitment to core university values.
  • Existing knowledge of the university and academic experience, including experience with shared governance.
  • Ability to address and maintain momentum of SP4.0, the university’s review of sexual violence prevention, support and response, legislative agenda, and other key initiatives.
  • Leadership experience across a wide range of the responsibilities associated with the position.
