Matt is the Administrative Support Coordinator for the Office of the President. He is a retired active duty Air Force master sergeant with tours completed in South Dakota, Guam, England, Turkey, Hawaii, Washington State, Iraq, Afghanistan, Oregon, and Washington D.C., where he served as the Superintendent of Headquarters Air Force, Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (Capabilities Division) at the Pentagon.
During his four year assignment to Corvallis, Oregon, he acted as the Non-Commissioned Officer In Charge of OSU’s Air Force ROTC detachment from 2009 to 2013, and was also granted courtesy faculty status within the Department of Aerospace Studies. After his retirement from active duty in 2015, Matt and his family moved to the Aegean coast of Turkey. There he dabbled in digital entrepreneurship as a freelance copywriter, ESL tutor, YouTuber, a website creator before turning in his swim trunks and returning to Corvallis in 2018, to rejoin OSU as the temporary Administrative Assistant to the Interim Head of the School of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science.
Matt holds a BS in History, MFA in Creative Writing, Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults, and certification from Air University’s Senior Non-Commissioned Officer Academy Course 14.
