The Chief Diversity Officer Search Advisory Committee and Parker Executive Search will discuss the search process, expectations of qualified candidates, as well as position requirements, timeline and advertising.

 

March 19-27: Spring Break

 

April

Listening sessions: Two Search Advisory Committee members and Parker Executive Search will host sessions with the Oregon State community.

 

April

Parker Executive Search will place advertisements announcing the position in various channels, to be agreed upon by the Search Advisory Committee.

 

April-August

Candidate identification will proceed through advertising, correspondence and direct recruiting by the Search Advisory Committee and Parker Executive Search to identify qualified candidates interested in the position and provide an update to the Search Advisory Committee.

 

May - August

Parker Executive Search will provide monthly updates to the Search Advisory Committee.

 

Early September

The Search Advisory Committee will identify candidates for initial interviews in consultation with Parker Executive Search.

 

Late September

The Search Advisory Committee and Parker Executive Search will conduct initial interviews of semifinalist candidates. Immediately following interviews, the committee will select finalists for campus interviews.

 

Late October

Campus Interviews: The OSU President and Search Advisory Committee and will conduct interviews with finalists. Forums with finalists will also be held with the Oregon State community.

Background Check Process: Parker Executive Search will conduct extensive background investigations on final candidates, to include: • Federal and state criminal checks (10 years). • Credit history and motor vehicle checks. • Degree verification (all degrees). • Sex offender search. Parker Executive Search will also conduct media reviews to identify potentially controversial areas of concern and obtain various signed authorizations regarding the accuracy of the candidate’s CV/r sum  and any other information provided to the firm on behalf of the candidate. On-list and off-list referencing by the Search Advisory Committee and Parker Executive Search may begin as soon as the firm has notified and received approval from the selected candidates.

An offer may be extended to the selected candidate.
