Student, Industrial Engineering
Safi Ahmad is a fourth year Oregon State student studying Industrial Engineering with a minor in Business and Entrepreneurship. This winter term, he was elected by the student body to serve as the Student Fee Committee Chair. Having served in previous years as Senator and Chief of Staff within ASOSU, Mr. Ahmad has shown a thoughtful commitment to ensuring student success. He also currently serves on the President and Provost’s Leadership Council on Equity, Inclusion and Social Justice. During his junior year, Mr. Ahmad completed a six month Industrial Engineering internship through MECOP (Multiple Engineering Co-Op Program sponsored by Oregon industries) at Siltronic AG in Portland.
During his sophomore year, Mr. Ahmad served as a student leadership liaison for the Ettihad Cultural Center and led a team of five peers helping put on the second largest event on campus, the Ettihad Cultural Festival. One of his proudest accomplishments during his freshman year was creating the Pakistan Student Association on the Corvallis campus.
