Dear OSU Community,

I am pleased to announce that we have a third Provost’s Lecture scheduled for the academic year. I invite you all to join a lecture via Zoom by Ibram X. Kendi on April 14, 2021, at 6:30 p.m.

Dr. Kendi is one of the nation’s leading scholars of antiracism. A National Book Award Winner (2019), Guggenheim Fellow, historian, and three-time New York Times best-selling author, Dr. Kendi is Andrew W. Mellon Professor of Humanities at Boston University, where he founded the BU Center for Antiracist Research.

Professor Kendi’s visit will be the third lecture in the 2020-21 Provost’s Lecture Series. The series, a partnership between my office and the OSU Foundation, aims to bring renowned thinkers and leaders to OSU to engage the University and community on topics of significance.

Two additional upcoming Provost’s Lectures include Dr. Henry Louis Gates, Jr.’s lecture entitled The Collapse of Reconstruction and The Roots of White Supremacy” on November 9, 2020, at 5:30 p.m. and Dr. Mae C. Jemison on February 4, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. These events are free and open to the public but require registration. Join the conversation by visiting this page to register.

Best wishes,

Edward Feser
Provost and Executive Vice President
