Ecampus again earns top 10 national ranking

Jan. 24, 2023

Dear OSU Community Members,

For the ninth consecutive year, Oregon State University has been recognized for the excellent quality of its online degree programs with a top-10 national ranking from U.S. News & World Report. The annual report, published today, ranks OSU No. 8 for Best Online Bachelor’s Programs thanks largely to the expertise of the faculty who teach online.

OSU is the only public institution in the country to receive a top-10 ranking each year since 2015. We are pleased when our collective work is widely acknowledged for its excellence, even though earning national rankings is never the goal of that work.

I thank our faculty, advisors, colleges and departments for their excellent work offering high-quality academic programs online; the Ecampus team for its continued innovation and leadership; and all others in the university community who contribute to the success of OSU students enrolled in Ecampus around the world.

Ecampus served 12,836 individual students exclusively online in all 50 states and more than 60 countries in the 2021-22 academic year. Among those who enrolled, 75% were pursuing an OSU bachelor’s degree online.

U.S. News & World Report gave four additional top-20 rankings to Oregon State:

  • No. 1 — Best Online Psychology Bachelor’s Programs.
  • No. 5 — Best Online Business Bachelor’s Programs.
  • No. 11 — Best Online Bachelor’s Programs for Veterans.
  • No. 19 — Best Online Master’s in Engineering Programs.

Thank you to everyone who plays a role each day in expanding access to an OSU education online as we continually strive to meet the evolving needs and preferences of learners everywhere.

Sincerely,

Edward Feser

Provost and Executive Vice President
