Dear OSU Colleagues,
I write to invite you to participate in upcoming town hall meetings and contribute your input regarding Oregon State’s next strategic plan.
Earlier this academic year, President Murthy and I formally launched the process to develop the next strategic plan. Beginning in January, the new plan will succeed OSU’s 2019-2023 – Strategic Plan 4.0: Transformation, Excellence, and Impact.
Led by a steering committee and a core team of university-wide colleagues and working in partnership with AKA Strategy, a nationally recognized consulting firm, we have conducted an initial issues analysis and identified several major themes that the new plan must address. The process to date has involved broad stakeholder engagement and development of working hypotheses regarding future university priorities and potential overarching goals.
With nearly 30 one-on-one interviews and focus group conversations completed, we would like to broaden our engagement and invite the entire university community to participate in town hall meetings to discuss OSU’s mission, areas of distinction, current initiatives and strategic imperatives. We will also share some of the themes and potential goals that have emerged to date.
