Camille Palmer

Dr. Camille Palmer is an associate professor and associate school head of the School of Nuclear Science and Engineering at Oregon State University.

Before joining OSU, Dr. Palmer worked as an applied physicist at Los Alamos National Laboratory and as a systems engineer for Northrop Grumman Mission Systems. Her research addresses national security challenges and the global nuclear landscape, focusing on nuclear nonproliferation and arms control verification.

An active leader in her professional community, Dr. Palmer serves on the Board of Directors at the Foundation for Resilient Societies and holds a position on the Executive Committee of the Nuclear Nonproliferation Policy Division within the American Nuclear Society. She is also an associate editor for the Journal of Critical Infrastructure Policy and an advisory board member for the Journal of Nuclear Materials Management.

Dr. Palmer earned her undergraduate degree from Oregon State University and a Ph.D. in Nuclear and Radiological Engineering from the University of Cincinnati. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and staying engaged in local Corvallis activities with her two school-aged children.
