Approved a fully revised and modernized Intellectual Property policy, offering best-in-nation approaches to handing intellectual property in ways that support innovation, entrepreneurship, and startups, and provide incentives for faculty participation.
Revised University Promotion & Tenure guidelines to explicitly recognize and document teaching, scholarship, and service in the realm of Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
Created a blueprint for an economic development and industry relations (EDIR) unit, which will serve as a coordinated “front door” to OSU, providing talent access, workforce development, research, and innovation opportunities. The university is launching the new EDIR unit with interim activities underway.
