OSU's fundraising efforts in response to the crisis in Gaza, Israel and the region

“As Beavers, we have long come together in service to humanity. We are members of a global community, deeply and vitally connected to the world. Our passion, strength and willingness to share can lead to positive change, both near and far.”

- Jayathi Y. Murthy, President of Oregon State University

Violence in Gaza and Israel has resulted in the loss of lives, destruction and suffering that many members of our OSU community have felt personally and profoundly. Medical and humanitarian aid provides safety and stability for the most vulnerable and OSU is committed to actions that make a positive impact.

As one part of the various actions we’ve committed to as a university raising funds for those in need is of vital importance. We encourage our community to contribute to the alleviation of civilian suffering in the region and help us raise funds for:

  • The Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF), founded in 1991, the organization provides medical and humanitarian relief collectively and individually to children throughout the Levant, regardless of their nationality or religion.

  • The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), which has worked in Gaza, the West Bank and Israel since 1967 in partnership with the Palestine Red Crescent Society and Magen David Adom to provide direct humanitarian aid and advocate for humanitarian protections.

As our community continues to navigate this crisis, these contributions to the alleviation of civilian suffering in the region will provide an immediate impact by those directly involved. Join OSU as we provide support and resources for those all over the world.
