Dear Colleagues,
I am pleased to announce that Dr. Christine Pollard will serve as interim chancellor and dean for OSU-Cascades, effective on May 16.
Dr. Pollard has served as senior associate dean since 2023, and in that role, has had broad responsibility for academic affairs, faculty development, student success, research support, enrollment strategy, and strategic institutional planning. Her previous roles at OSU-Cascades include interim dean of academic affairs and program director for the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program.
We anticipate that Dr. Pollard will lead OSU-Cascades until a national search results in the appointment of a new chancellor and dean. Information about the search is forthcoming. In the meantime, nominations may be submitted here.
Dr. Pollard’s interim appointment follows the short-term interim appointment of Dr. Becky Johnson, previous vice president for OSU-Cascades and interim president of OSU. Dr. Johnson has my most sincere appreciation for stepping into the short-term interim appointment on short notice.
